Economy Filtration Plants

ZENITH WATER ECONOMY WATER FILTRATION PLANTS

Our pre-engineered filtration units have been designed with practical functionality in mind and cater specifically for the African market. The purpose of these units is to filter stored tanker water, borehole water and municipal water that has already been treated. Our units have been produced in a dedicated facility in South Africa using only the highest quality components.

While some customers are comfortable with the quality of their stored water/municipal water it is important to take note of the following;
Most people do not know the source of their water, i.e river or borehole whether the water has been treated properly or treated at all, that water stored in tanks is likely to be re-contaminated, either by storage tanks that are not regularly cleaned or by the existence of micro-organisms in the water not effectively removed by the initial treatment process,
water that is not treated properly has the potential of containing harmful waterborne bacteria, that could lead to diseases such as Giardia,that improperly treated water can cause gastro-intestinal illnessesstanding treated water may contain free living amoeba and environmental strains of various bacterial species poorly chlorinated water can also contain levels of E-coli which can eventually lead to cholera infections.

For companies operating in the catering and hospitality industry it is vital to ensure that water used in the preparation of food is free of any form of contamination.

Borehole Treated Water

Most untreated borehole water will have the following problems;
* high turbidity
* high iron/manganese content
* high TDS (total dissolved solids)
* high salinity (Lagos Island)

Zenith Water has designed a unique system that will effectively purify water containing the above problems except for salinity which will be discussed later. The unit below is recommended for untreated borehole water. This system will deliver a minimum of 1000ℓ per hour.

Treatment Process

After the pre-treatment the water is ready for filtration. The water is pumped to the bag filter (as shown below) that collects all sediments more than 5 microns. After the bag filter the water is sent to either the ZWP 101 or ZWP 102 filtration units. The units below are mounted on a skid ready for installation.

Option 1 (Bag filter ZWP 101 or ZWP102)

Option 2 (Economy Plant)

The bag filter can be excluded and normal multimedia vessels can be used instead for sediment removal. The customer has a choice of various vessels.

Plant comprises:
2 vessels of your choice,
ZWP 101/102,
Filter Pump
all mounted on a skid
pre-treatment inclusive

Point of Use (Under-Counter Reverse Osmosis Systems)

ZWP RO 1: Unit Produces 1000l per day

ZWP RO2: Unit Produces 200l per day
Saline Water Treatment Plants
All saline plants are custom designed. Due to the varying degrees in the quality of the water each unit has to be individually manufactured. Plant design is initiated after an analysis of the water has been completed in a laboratory. Prices are available on request.
